Carlos Quevedo's Inner Self Portraits is a series of three images he made based in a personal vision about our innerself, which is a composition of constant ideas, beliefs and feelings, and the interaction of these with the things around us, basically the concept is meant to be a literal expression of these three points.

Inner Space was the first one and I made it for a project in which I was participating as a coach, I wanted to explain the process of masking on Photoshop, the idea came from it, to explore more of our innerself using this style of composition.

My inspiration comes from theology and mythology, it can be seen more on Inner Sanctuary and Inner Oracle. I wanted to capture a bit the essence of my own beliefs. My work is a pictorial expression about my own beliefs. Currently I've been exploring this a lot, making real those oniric interpretations I have about my studies on religion.

On technical aspects, my work is digital art, it is known as Photo manipulation, because I use mostly photographic material to make an illustration. There are several artists that inspire me, but I could say that Alexander Jansson and Martin Lisec are my favorites, their style and hard work motivate me a lot to get better and better.

Do not give up. I know many aspiring artists who quit because they don't get the results or attention they want quickly. Be patient and work hard to define a personal style, that's what makes the difference on this field.

Carlos Quevedo is a graphic artist based in Valencia Venezuela with a degree on graphic design and publicity ( he's been very interested on art since he was a kid, which is quite common with artists, hehe). He has been working as freelance artist for around 5 years now, and he specializes on digital art / mixed media, all her illustrations are made trough a complex process of painting and Photo manipulation on programs like Photoshop.
