Blend Tea Company is a theoretical tea shop in Hyattsville, Maryland that supports equality, diversity, and open conversation through the tea products and diverse shop. 25 percent of the proceeds from each blend of teas would support a specific human rights movement - Black Lives Matter (purple), LGBTQ (red), women (green), and global refugees (blue). These products would be sold in the shop, in a local grocery store, and online.

The style used was a bright, cheerful color scheme to exemplify the joy of equal rights. The patterns used for the branding was created to represent the blend of flavors in the teas, as well of the blend of people from different backgrounds.

I began with sketching and mind-mapping on a piece of paper. After gaining an idea of where I wanted to direct the project, I started working in Illustrator and created the logo, packaging, etc. The mockups used were utilizing Photoshop.

People responded favorably to the project, and I received several constructive comments from individuals on how to refine and better the project. The project was spread out over a course of several months before being finalized. During the process, I learned how much I love typography and altering typefaces.
